Whenever Nigerians want to be ambiguous, they resort to unusual and unnatural vocabularies to mask their prejudice against their opponents. The original stand of Chidi Opara was that if Andrew Yakubu had defected to APC he would not have been exposed of his $9,2 billion loot. But when I drew his attention to the trial of the President of Senate, Bukola Saraki, an APC even though outwardly, Chidi Opara changed to say it was because Saraki became Senate President against the wish of his party. Chidi Opara is misspeaking as British Parliamentarians would say of themselves when they tell barefaced lies.
Joshua Dariye, the PDP former Governor of Plateau State (1999-2007) was first arraigned on July 13, 2007 for stealing N1.2 billion from the Plateau State, but the corrupt judiciary allowed his case file to gather dust. He crossed over to APC last year but that did not prevent EFCC from dusting off his case file whereby he is now undergoing prosecution. Former Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Kenneth Chimaroke Nnamani, looted his State of the sum of N64 billion, stashed into 20 bank accounts at home and abroad. He was arraigned and charged in court in September 2007 and was granted bail. His case has since been pending in court. Last year he joined the APC, yet his case has been revived by the EFCC. On July 27, 2007, the former Governor of Abia State, Orji Uzor Kalu, was arraigned and charged for looting Abia State treasury of the sum of N5billion. He pleaded not guilty and he was granted bail. Thereafter, the case was in comatose through series of legal dribblings. He crossed to the APC last year but that did not hinder EFCC from reviving his case which is now ongoing. Former PDP Governors of Akwa Ibom and Taraba States, Victor Attah and Jolly Nyame, respectively, were among the founding members of the APC who had been standing corruption trials since 2007 but whose trial had been put in coma by the courts. In spite of their belonging to APC, their corruption trials have been revived by the EFCC. Instead of trivialising cases of our national looters, any professional blogger who means well for Nigeria should help to expose and illuminate cases of trillions of naira treasury lootings which Nigerian courts have been delaying and frustrating since 2007 till date.

--Chidi,
I am rather curious to know if you think the false asset declaration and sundry matters charges in court against Saraki is all made up just to punish him OR that it would not have been brought up at all if he had towed the "Asiwaju" line by not contesting the Senate Presidency?

Bukuola Saraki is undergoing trial because he contested and won the Senate presidency against the directive of his party (read the "Asiwaju").
