Chidi,
In what way is Kanu a charlatan?
How is he a rabble rouser?
In what ways do you diverge from him in your pro-Igbo advocacy?
I would be very pleased if you can share your vision on this.
Thanks
Toyin

Maigida TF,I hope you'll find a minute to reflect on the life of late Dr Pat Ndukwe, my linguitics teacher and colleague at Sokoto. As HOD in Sokoto, he pursuaded me to consider an academic career, and a couple of weeks after my national service, he hired me as a graduate assistant. That was in 1986! Much later, he moved to UNN, where, I understand, he completed his journey.Outstanding mentor and role model, who is fondly remembered by a grateful Hausa boy …Malami
Prof Malami BubaHUFS, Korea--That is the wonderful thing about USA Dialogue. I have been in Addis Ababa eating injera and
drinking the world's most nutritious fruit drink - a three or four layered drink of avocado, mango, pineapple
papaya and guava - a few weeks now. The trick is to keep the layers in your glass in tact until you drink it all. Sometimes a bit of artistic flair is evident . A thin strip of red strawberry for the heck of it.
Anyway yes the problem is the politicians. Ordinary people want to get their basics - health care, food, shelter and clean water and get on with their lives. The manipulators cum politicians are the problem, stirring trouble so that they could propel themselves into positions of power.

Subject: USA Africa Dialogue Series - What is the roe of scholars?Dear all:
Greetings from Nsukka, staying at a nice hotel where I am following all the debates.
As I walk on the streets, visit pepper soup joints and do my usual talk talk I was wondering whether scholars and politicians are not the real problems of Nigeria.
