Olayinka
While I am not one of those interested in breaking up Nigeria, perhaps I should remind you that Nigeria was once a British colony as was Ghana, India, America and many others. Eventually these people wanted their own independent countries and got that. Today, you still have Nigerians and others in UK, including some on this forum. Do not conflate desire for a homeland with the right of individuals to migrate to or visit other countries. A people do not need to hate other people or land to want their own country. (That is a false assumption on your part). People usually want their country for other reasons such as security, self determination, etc. Jews wanted and got a homeland (Isreal) for obvious reasons. Today, there are still more Jews outside than within Isreal. I can't think of any country without a diaspora. And Briafra should not be different. Currently Nigerians are in every country under the sun. No one has asked them to go back to Nigeria and make it better as a precondition for having (or continuing to have) there own country. As we speak, the Nigerian president is in UK for medical treatment, following the practice of many former and current Nigerian leaders who would rather seek better services outside than improve and use what is available at home. What happened to the independence we asked for and got in 1960? Yet, it is their prerogative. Wouldn't you agree?

This is one of the most puerile viewpoints I have ever encountered. So, being a race that move from place to place in search of condusive economic environments to do their businesses disqualifies the Igbos from seeking to opt out of a Union their forebears willingly entered into?
So,now, peaceful separatist agitators are "rabble rousers
