A factual description of your action cannot be kind or unkind. It is what you have done! If you call IBK a giant among men, the onus of proof is on you to establish that all men are Liliputians.
When you are asked to so do and you avoid then you engage in escapism. Not kind or unkind but a fact. Our observations are backed by data. All things cannot be accommodated within poetic license. Else you sentence us all into the prison populated by pigments of imagination only.
That cannot be the Harry Potter world of myth and fables that you desire to engage with us your friends and family.
Or maybe I am wrong.

Yes, an artist, writer, etc, can double as a critic, but that is a personal choice, not a sine qua non.
You already know what I am and that is what I want to remain, so, when I read, I read as a reader, not as a critic. This position is however enough to enable me make informed comments on the materials I read.
