"Various expressions of spirituality and worship culture are shaping the urban experience and informing urban habits. This relationship between religion and the city has a long and steady history and continues to be an important subject for urban culture and development.
We brought together urban practitioners, religious leaders, artists and city citizens to discuss issues that emerge at the intersection of religion and urbanism. How do contemporary worship culture and religious processes affect urbanisation? What does it mean to have religious institutions increasingly take on the role of developers? How does the practice of faith expand or limit spaces for openness and inclusion in the city?"
