A PRAYER FOR MONEY
In the name of Jesus; In the name of our father Jesus
God, You who used your extensively long hands
to retrieve your own children from the deep;
You, whom we have no true capability to worship
Yet we complain that you are not on our side
You who have ears around you like 'ajere' has ears
You spread the sky like one spreads clothes
You, the repairer of those with bad heads
There is no questioning your judgement
You, who used the innards of a fish as a bank
Let us not spend complaints where money is spent.
Let not our hands reach the bottom of our pockets.
Lord, let us toil only a little but earn a lot of money.
Let us not work like an elephant and feed like an ant.
Let us not work for other people to eat .
Whoever is conceived by a woman;
Suckles the breasts of a woman;
But is now asking that our prayers not be heard;
And standing in the way of our success;
planning that evil befall us; warn him.
Father, attempt to turn his thinking around.
However, if he refuses to heed your warning,
Use him as part of your ingredients for our good luck
So all can come and see your magnificience in our life
And in the lifes of our children and grandchildren
Listen. The supreme commander of the heavens
Through Jesus Christ we pray. Amen
