As one born in Freetown, like Nina Simone, I am naturally with anyone and everyone who wants to be free.
Readily enough, you will be the first to agree with me that like Browning's Pied Piper of Hamelin, a Nigerian Pied Piper would do much better than President Buhari in his war against corruption which is bleeding the economy and is still keeping the sleeping giant somewhat held back, chained. At the end of the day a Nigerian Pied Piper would have wiped out all the corrupt rats - death by drowning
the dogs and the baboon
would have drowned in the lagoon
But Biafra's Messiah, Pied Piper Nnamdi Kanu, with the Igbo masses behind him may be getting too big for his boots. No two ways about it, he is incontestably the man of the moment, the most influential Igbo living today, perhaps on a par with Steve Biko, "I am prepared to die" Nelson Mandela, once-upon-a-dream, Dr. Martin Luther King, Kanu too he has a dream, a vision and unarguably - he has electrified the masses of his people, but as a so called "Igbo Jew" even with no Dreyfus to haunt him, the Igbos after all, overwhelmingly Christian in orientation (towards their "Heavenly Father") and as far as I know them, staunchly pro-Israel, it's certain that his political future will be limited and that he will remain confined to where his heart is , i.e. Igboland or maybe, Jerusalem, as in

About Nnamdi Kanu on the hotline to His Holiness the Pope , I am presently reminded of this joke
We haven't heard Nnamdi Kanu talk about "anti-Semitism" yet - or accuse President Buhari of anti-Semitism, but should his dream/s not come true and he reverts to Naija nationalism, you can't envisage him surviving a Presidential election in Sokoto or Zamfara, Kano or Kaduna or Ogun for that matter
or visiting certain States in the Nigerian Federation - as wannabe president of Biafra, can you?
As the first president of Biafra he could he a useful ally of Benjamin Netanyahu in a later Africa-Israel summit whilst at the same time ( perhaps just my imagination) even be afraid ( for security reasons) of visiting certain parts of the remnant of a country that could continue as Nigeria..
But, let's quit the daydreaming. Let's be real. Mr. Kanu is still a free man because of the magnanimity/ good will of the authorities - or perhaps they are giving him enough rope to hang himself : Let's face it, he has violated - repeatedly the terms conditions of his being released from prison/ detention on bail by addressing large crowds, and by granting interviews for which reasons alone, from the date of his earliest transgressions, he could have been reigned in again...
As to his exhorting his tribesmen to boycott the Anambra elections if he does not have his way, is this mere civil disobedience is or is fomenting civil unrest and interfering unduly with what is still legally, Nigeria's constitutional process?
Now what do you have to say about that?
