Dr Donatus Martins Akatakpo, popularly known as Don, born on 13 July, 1956, gave up the ghost on Saturday 17th July, 2010 at the General Hospital Ikeja, after a period of illness. Until his death, he was a senior lecturer at the Dept of Architecture, Unilag. Though he was more active in the 80s and 90s, he was a great artist in the Ona mode, and also an art scholar of note.
His academic and professional career is as follows:
