The Transform Nigeria Movement releases a new logo, flyer and moto -
The Transform Nigeria Movement has released a new logo, flyer and moto. In a statement made available to the Press last night, Spokesperson of the group, Ms Ezinne Anyanwu said the three dimensional logo captures the message of transformation from the group.
"The hands are presenting to Nigerians a transformed Nigeria in a globe of dazzling cloudlike aura. And the motto; 'New Nigerians, Fresh Ideas', shows Transform Nigeria Movement as an association of Nigerians all over the world that aims to effect a complete transformation of the Nigerian Society by effecting an attitudinal change among Nigerians", she said.
Adding that "Transform Nigeria envisions a new Nigerian society where there is a positive change in the consciousness, orientation, and world view of all Nigerians".
"We believe that a well informed populace will be motivated to positive action. Nigerians have been dormant for a long time; it is our responsibility to awaken them from slumber by informing, educating and enlightening the youths on what truly goes on in Nigeria.
Quoting the US President Barack Obama, she said the members of the group 'take up in our own lives the work of building a government that is responsible to the people and accept our own responsibilities as citizens to hold our government accountable".
Reminded of the words of Professor Ben Nwabueze that Nigeria had passed the stage where peaceful agitation could salvage the country and that only a violent revolution is needed, Ezinne said the Movement will create a quiet and peaceful but effective revolution that will involve all Nigerians of goodwill – to "entrench good governance, hold our leaders accountable and rid Nigeria of corruption by getting Nigerians to engage in governance, expose and/or report corrupt practices wherever noticed".
In her words, "Transform Nigeria Movement is a Non Profit, Progressive, and Civic Action Organization that focuses on the Ethical Conduct of Nigeria government - National, State and Local Executive office decisions and Legislative actions. We believe in Public Policy Reforms, Ethics in Politics, Legal Advocacy, Free and Qualitative Education and Social Equality".
To the question, how they intend to achieve their goals, Ezinne said Transform Nigeria will Create public awareness and motivate Nigerians to participate in promoting and ensuring good governance in Nigeria, develop programs and activities that will improve governance, good health, quality education, and the quality of life of the citizens; organise Conferences, seminars, rallies and other activities that would empower the citizens; set out to enlighten Nigerians with the sole aim to empower the people to think positively about developing a new type of leadership and followership for Nigeria, thereby creating the leaders of tomorrow and introducing new ways of thinking for Nigerians".
