USA Africa Dialogue Series - BENIN OLOKUN SYMBOLISM:BODY AS MIND,MIND AS BODY: HOW TO INCREASE AND PROLONG SEXUAL PLEASURE THROUGH MINDFULNESS 1

BENIN OLOKUN SYMBOLISM:BODY AS MIND,MIND AS BODY

HOW TO  PROLONG  AND INCREASE SEXUAL PLEASURE THROUGH MINDFULNESS 1

                                                                       Toyin Adepoju

In the training to appreciate body as mind and mind as body represented by this sexual discipline, you are constituted by the intersection of the vertical and horizontal lines where your nerves and brain meet.

The four quadrants are used in this context to represent the four major indices in this process of control as it is developed during sex:your body, your thoughts, your penis and your partner's sexual organ.

This approach to sex is based on an understanding of your body as a part of your mind.

This knowledge implies controlling how your body works through understanding relationships between your thoughts and your nerves, facilitating your control of the material form that is your body, with a focus in a control of your arousal levels. Your arousal levels are determined by the relationship between your thinking and your nerves that carry messages from the body to the brain.

This discipline is described as a form of mindfulness,a term and practice well developed in Buddhism and central to all thoughtful human activity beyond the Buddhist context.

I am correlating this understanding of sex with Benin Olokun symbolism beceause this symbolism sums up crucial ideas about relationships between aspects of reality, specifically between spirit, mind, and matter. This is done through evocative visual forms like the igha-ede image in this presentation.

The examples of sexual activity given here are related specifically to men.I expect this perspective is also applicable to women but I am not adequately informed to expound on that at the level of detail this presentation aspires to.I expect this approach could motivate a person informed on that aspect of the subject to develop a presentation along those lines.

The core of this approach is the development of the control of the manner in which your mind and the material form that constitutes your body work together during sex.

Achieving this control is based on understanding the relative sensitivity of various sections of the length that constitutes your penis
understanding the relationship of this sensitivity to the depth of your penetration of your partner's sexual organ during sex
understanding the relationship of this sensitivity to the speed of your penetration of your partner's sexual organ
understanding the relationship of this sensitivity to the frequency of your penetration of your partner's sexual organ at particular points during sex
understanding the relationship of this sensitivity to the positions assumed by your partner and yourself during sex

This control will enable you to modulate the pace of your arousal during sex
Enable you have sex for hours without climax and without ejaculation, thereby prolonging pleasure for your partner and yourself for almost as long as you want
Enable you to have sex for hours, delay climax indefinitely and never ejaculate if you don't want to
Enable you to delay your climax
Enable you to withdraw sperm up the penis and thereby delay ejaculation
Enable you to ejaculate within the penis without external emission
