in Africa and Cairo is the capital of Egypt; therefore, Cairo is in
Africa. Think again, Jean Ping suggests otherwise, Cairo is not in Africa,
thus putting into question the Africanness of North African Arabs. And
this is from the Chairman of AU, a position Gaddafi used to occupy. I am
very convinced he misspoke because he is a smart man.

Folks, Libya may not be in Africa, but it does not deserve to be bombed
into smithereens. The best outcome of this campaign is another Somalia in
Africa, chaotic and ungovernable. And Ghaddafi must share the blame. All
African leaders who stay in power for too long stifle democratic debates
and the emergence of alternatives to their (mis)rule. Democracy cannot be
cultivated overnight. It is a long process; the earlier we start the
better.
