We line on long line With longing to elect. They tick our thumbs with ink, The thugs they tip. We tip-toe on thumb of thuggery To vote tents, To thumb print with trepidation On breached ballot papers. On the way to vote vetting venue Our votes vanish, Our thumbprints Trampled, Trashed. From residences of rogues Thumbprints emerge And migrate into vote vaults, Mischievous missions Mutter mumbo-jumbo. We mope While rogues Mangle our hope.
