is a case in point.
At height of the period during which white farms and farmlands were
being confiscated by the Mugabe government the same kinds of
discussions and political commentaries flared in newspapers and
especially in the British and other European Parliaments where Mr.
Mugabe increasing became - almost universally, the villain of the
piece.
I also received some vile and venomous hate mail from some of the
African Negroes for whom no matter what Mugabe did, Mugabe could do no
wrong.
Not least of all in Sweden, the discussion of land reform/Radical Land
reform in Zimbabwe flared for a few years and that's why I've felt
moved to chalk it up in my blog, about the enlightenment perceived/
received through the agency of the USA – Africa Dialogue Series:
Interestingly too, one of the reasons that the Swedish Government has
given for not recognising "the Libyan Rebels" as the sole or rightful
representatives of the Libyan people is because according to the
report in today's Svenska Dagbladet, "Sverige har inte heller några
diplomatiska band till Benghazi. UD.s argument är att Sverige endast
erkänner stater, inte regeringar" / "Nor does Sweden have any
diplomatic ties with Benghazi. The Foreign Ministry's argument is
that Sweden only recognizes states, not governments "
