EKITI FOCUS GROUP, NORTH AMERICA CONGRATULATES APPOINTED AND ELECTED OFFICIALS FROM EKITI STATE
We are delighted to congratulate our brothers who have been called upon to serve the nation in one capacity or the other. In particular, we congratulate Navy Captain Caleb Olubolade (Rtd), Hon. Yemi Arokodare, and Professor Mobolaji Aluko- Minister of Police Affairs, Special Adviser, Special Duty to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, and Vice Chancellor, Federal University, Otueke, respectively. As true Ekiti sons, we are confident they will discharge their duties with diligence, integrity, candor, and honesty; making a difference in our ailing polity.
Equally, we congratulate all the elected officials representing Ekiti State at both State and Federal levels. As representatives of the people, your positions are held in trust for the overall interest of Ekiti people, and the nation as a whole. To this end, we implore you to create effective media through which opinions and pulse of the represented are gauged, and symmetrically represented. Often, true wishes of the people are misrepresented due to lack of effective communication- making the representative out of touch with realities in their constituencies.
We strongly believe that communication is the real work of leadership, and leadership is practiced not so much in words as in attitude and actions. We trust you will live up to expectation of the electorate, and the oath of your office.
Ekiti Focus Group is poised to supporting any good initiative or well thought out programs of the government and elected officials aimed at promoting good governance, entrenchment of democracy, development, and well being of Ekiti people. We are committed to advancing transparent participatory democracy; bridging the communication divide between the government and the governed.
