Dear friends and colleagues,   It is my pleasure to share the following announcement with you:   The Association of Medical Women in India select a woman physician once in 2- 3 years to deliver the prestigious Marie Catchoor Oration at their annual conference. The recipient of the award is selected on basis of her contribution to women's health and human rights. Dr Catchatoor was an physician of Armenian origin who devoted her life to promote women's health and improve their status in society. She was well  known for being the pioneer of introducing community based health care in India. The 2012 recipient of this award is Padmini Murthy MD who is an American of Indian origin and is being recognized for her work in promoting women's health and human rights and she will deliver the oration on December 14, 2012 in Calcutta India where Dr Catchatoor spend many years working tirelessly to help the underprivileged women and girl children.   PLEASE JOIN US AT AV IN WELCOMING DR.
