In my opinion, considering that they have limited options it's not a
latest bad move by the SLPp, since they are still operating well
within the limits of Sierra Leone law. They are at liberty to relegate
the country to a de facto one-party rule if that is how they choose to
view the future of multi-party democracy in Sierra Leone.They must
understand that they can only come to "power" through the ballot box
and no other way than that.

It's better that they sit their time out till 2017 when the next
elections are due to be held and that in the meantime they refuse to
participate as part of Sierra Leone's democratic institutions, refuse
to contribute to the machinery of a functioning democracy, just
because they lost the last elections in which their candidate only
polled 37% of the national vote - doing slighly better than
anticipated.
Better that the boycott than that their leader, ex- Brigadier Bio take
to the bush for a prolonged guerilla war against the democratically
elected government of Sierra Leone.
Tomorrow after a few phone calls to Freetown, London and Washington,
I'll know exactly what the hell is going on....
