USA Africa Dialogue Series - Diaspora news : Concerning alleged racial profiling in Sweden

To escape poverty many Africans emigrate to Sweden sometimes arriving
on tourist visas, often arriving as refugees - to seek asylum Often
when such asylum is not granted people go underground and sometimes
stay underground,for years.

There is a school of thought that suggests that it would be better if
EU governments granted aid to help make living conditions better in
the countries from which economic migrants come....

It's being reported that darker skinned people who are obviously not
of Scandinavian . origin are being routinely stopped by undercover
immigration police and asked for their passports,or residence permits.
and the action is said to be based on "racial profiling...
