Does SO know that all the giants of literature were/are good story tellers. Does he know that poetry is story-telling? There is learning. There is understanding. There is a chasm between them.

i wonder how sam knows his grandmother was a good storyteller. and if it is the few who are able to discern true literary merit, as he proclaims earlier in this posting, then who is to say that those same few are wrong when they disagree over the merits of noble prize winners?
what i really want to know is, if his grandmother is so good, why hasn't she won the noble prize?
