Late Father Georg Huessler (7.7.1921 – 14.4.2013)Dear Sir / Madam,Monsignor Dr. Georg Huessler, the longtime President of Caritas International was born on July 7th, 1921 and died on Sunday the 14th of April, 2013, at the age of 91. Dr. Huessler showed courage, solidarity and charity and through his work in Biafra gave life and hope to our hungry and starving people. We pray the Almighty God to grant his Soul eternal Rest.If you have contacts to Igbo Governors, Politicans, Religious Leaders, Catholic Bishops, Ohanaeze Ndị-Igbo, WIC, Aka Ikenga etc, please kindly suggest to them, the need for Ndị-Igbo to honour and keep the memory of Dr. Huessler alive. We can immortalize Fr. Huessler by erecting and naming any structure / Statute after him. Eg. Streets, Bridges, Academic Buildings, Humanitarian/Research Centres, Schools, Hospitals, Orphanage Centres etc. could be named after him in appreciation of what he did for the Igbo/Biafran people and as a mark of our Gratitude.Igbo Governors, Catholic Churches (Archdiocese) and wealthy Igbo people may honour and erect Structures in Dr. Huessler´s name or the Igbo Nation may celebrate his Birthday every 7th of July. In case of any commemorative Event, the German Ambassador to Nigeria and the Caritas President (Msgr. Dr. Peter Neher) may be invited including Dr. Huessler´s Nephew and Next of Kin.Father Huessler was a true Igbo Friend and a Man of God. Dr. Huessler lived a life of charity and service to Humanity.
