It is indeed a pleasure for us to inform you that you have been selected among the recipients of the prestigious Regents' Outstanding Teaching Award. Congratulations on this important recognition of your commitment to teaching through the delivery of the highest quality undergraduate instruction.
Only a select number of faculty members from across The University of Texas System were chosen for this signal honor and the accompanying monetary award, and to win one of these awards is truly a remarkable achievement. After a rigorous campus-level review, the president of each U.T. System academic institution forwarded the names of the most qualified candidates for consideration. An external review committee comprised of highly experienced academic administrators, faculty members, and students evaluated the nomination based on several criteria.
In addition to the monetary award, we invite you to a special dinner honoring all of the Regents' Outstanding Teaching Award recipients in Austin on Wednesday, August 21, 2013.
