Thanks Prof for directing me to that write-up. It is an interesting read that also points out certain issues and obvious truth that may be difficult to enforce and I quote from the essay:"others define and enforce the rules". This is still the trend. So, where have we grown and able to manage our crises? Ibori was tried and found guilty in UK while Nigerian government insisted he never stole from them...?!!! It is alarming how we interpret the law and duties of governance and governed.
Baseline, however, is that even when one feels above the law within one's country, the enforcement of the law on a crime against humanity is inescapable. We do have a lot to learn in Africa about taking responsibility for our actions: whatever they may be. Thanks Prof.
