Mr. Salimonu Kadiri, you have done well. I truly appreciate your response to the manipulation of facts that Intersociety was presenting. Kudos!

For reasons best known to the moderator(s), my earlier response to the publication of 'How INEC Tainted & Sectionalized Nigeria's National Register of Voters written by Intersociety,' was censored out of publication by USA Africa Dialogue Series. However, I can observe that the 'Intersociety' has tried in vain to correct some of the flaws I drew public attention to in their volume three when it now publishes, "The Truth INEC Has Hidden From Nigerians."

The word *prejudice* is derived from the Latin *praejudicium* which means a precedent, a judgment based on previous decisions and experiences. Prejudgment becomes a prejudice only if it is not subject to modification in the light of new experience. A major characteristic of prejudice is the mental rigidity which the prejudiced individual or a group, such as Intersociety, maintains by twisting new information to accord with their stereotyped preconceptions. Reading through volume III of Intersociety, one will discover that it was that organisation that sectionalised Nigeria into ethno/religious units and not INEC headed by Jega. This is buttressed by the fact that the statistics of collected PVCs in each geopolitical zone which was presented as follows: North West Zone: Muslim/Opposition stronghold; North East Zone: War stricken, Muslim/Opposition stronghold; North Central Zone: Balanced area for Muslims/Christians; South West Zone: Southerners/Christians stronghold; South-South Zone; South East Zone and FCT. Why has Intersociety not ascribed any religion to South-South, South East and FCT? Why was South West described as Southerners/Christians stronghold by Intersociety? In view of the aforesaid, Intersociety has not only wrongly converted the coming Federal Elections in Nigeria to a struggle between Northerners and Southerners but between Christians and Muslims as well. I register my strong opposition to those manipulated conversions!!

In *The Truth INEC Has Hidden From Nigerians* Intersociety has removed the ethno/religious division of Nigeria and replaced it with geopolitical zones before rendering statistics for, Total Registered Voters (RVs), Total Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) Distributed, and Total RVs denied PVCs, in each zone. The language utilised by Intersociety to account for its statistics shows bias and prejudice against INEC and Jega. An unbiased statistical account should have been: Total RVs, Total  PVCs collected (since INEC does not and is not expected to visit individual house to distribute PVCs),  and Total RVs holders that have not collected their PVC (because uncollected PVC does not amount to denial to RV holders who have not appeared at INEC's office to collect PVC).

Under the Grand Summary of 'The Truth INEC Has Hidden From Nigerians' Intersociety wrote in item 3 thus, "While the North including FCT has a total of 37, 377,216 RVs the South is left with only 31, 539,941 with the North surpassing the South with 5, 837,275." Yet in the 2011 Elections, Intersociety wrote in volume III of its *How INEC Tainted & Sectionalized Nigeria's National Register of Voters* that the total number of Registered Voters was 70,390,428 of which the North and FCT had 40,531,606 and the South had 29,858,822. Consequently, the North had 10,672,784 registered voters than the South in 2011 and in spite of that a Southerner, Jonathan, won the election which anybody with simple gumption will understand to mean that the excessive number of registered voters in the North over the South played no role in the outcome of the election. Common sense wise, if the number of registered voters in the North and South in 2011 is compared with 2015, it will be discovered that the number of registered voters in the North has reduced from 10,672, 784 in 2011 to 5, 837,275 in 2015. Then in item nine, Intersociety regaled readers thus, "It may most likely be correct to conclude that 50% of those that have not received their PVCs in the North West and North East zones are non indigenes dominated by Igbo pastoralists who fled the area to escape hate killing and violence orchestrated by their host populations." Similarly one can guess as Intersociety has done that it may most likely be correct that the reduction of registered voters in the North from 10,672,784 in 2011 to 5,837,275 in 2015 represent those who fled the North for personal security reason. It is a guess because no official statistic over those who fled North is available. Except, hypocrites, everybody knows that Jega is not the Commander in Chief of the Nigerian Armed Forces, but President Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan, whose responsibility it is to provide security for all Nigerians. So, if people fled from the North and could not collect their PVCs  because of insecurity of life, it will be unjust to blame Jega or INEC for that. Earlier, in item seven, Intersociety maliciously complained,"The total number of registered voters that *have not received* their PVCs in Nigeria as at 17th Feb 2015 is 16,600,080The expression, *have not received* has been applied by Intersociety to dent the image of Jega and INEC as well as to discredit the entire organisation. Otherwise, the most appropriate expression Intersociety should have used is: *The total number of registered voters that have not collected their PVCs in Nigeria as at 17th Feb 2015 is 16,600,080.* Whatever may be our political inclination we should neither invent words and stock them into the mouth of opponents nor manipulate figures and words to discredit them. I do not know Jega personally and I am not a member of INEC but I insist that the organisation be judged correctly by Intersociety and others.

Subject: USA Africa Dialogue Series - News Release: The Truth INEC Has Hidden From Nigerians

On Tuesday, 17th February 2015, our leadership (Intersociety) released the third volume of our explosive publication (How INEC Tainted & Sectionalized Nigeria's National Register of Voters). Its volumes one and two had earlier been released on 15th and 16th February 2015. As the referenced third volume was enjoying its world-wide circulation and readership on electronic media news, the headship of Independent National Electoral Commission under Prof Attahiru M. Jega, released its PVC distribution update across the country same day with State-by-State breakdown saying that as at 17th Feb 2015, a total of 52, 233, 396 PVCs have been distributed across the country. The INEC in its referenced update praised itself as having achieved 75.88 per cent in the PVC distribution across the update.  On Wednesday, 18th February 2015, Chairman of INEC, Prof Attahiru M. Jega appeared before the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to update the upper Chambers on how far the Commission has gone in its preparations for the referenced rescheduled polls. The proceedings were dominated with the usual fallacious "we are fully ready for 2015 elections" pronouncements on the part of INEC team...............
