May I add also that Churchill and his counterparts presided over the killing of a million Algerians.

To be frank, I have read similar statements by racists - with reference to non Muslim Africans -
so rejoicing in the quote is short sighted.

And your point is what? That so enamoured was the aristocratic racist Churchill of his orientalism that he thought the gassing and bombings of civilian Iraqis what a great idea to keeping them in order. No doubt Saddam the Americans and Isis had some historical lessons to learn. Finding quotes on line does not, even google, analysis make; it's a cheap, dangerous and incendiary invocation.
