My comment: Rather than accuse Olukotun of lack of understanding, it appears Odere doesn't seem to fully understand international politics. Junketing around the world never solves any country's problems. And, no one can truly solve your domestic problems for you no matter the promises they make to you. Thirdly, their desire to assist are often with strings attached. Remember also that each of our president since Nigerian returned to democracy has visited the White House, what has been the gains to the sick man of Africa, Nigeria? I think the Buhari administration needs to be more inward looking and devout more time into thinking about home grown development, peace and security strategies than seeking solutions from abroad. It is not to say going abroad is totally useless. It should be moderated and taken up with deep understanding of the intentions of the host countries.
