Thank you Professor for drawing attention to the Inaugural Lecture on the high level of corruption in the privatisation exercise. ‎I think many Nigerians have come to believe that the exercise was never meant to serve a national purpose but private ends. The argument for privatization was based on the wrong premise that government cannot be an efficient and profitable manager of enterprises. Yet in other countries even in Ghana as you pointed out, public enterprises have continued to thrive. I am hoping that President Buhari and his team will find a way to reverse most of the transactions and importantly restore Nigeria to the path of a developmental state.
