17 year old Frans Jeppsson-Wall won the Swedish Melody festival ( song contest finals, with the son "If I were sorry" and will be representing Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest which will be held in Stockholm this year. The young man's got talent, and not only that, his grandma is Nigerian. "His father, Mark Wall, was born in Nigeria, to an English father and a Nigerian mother. His mother, Maria Birgitta Jeppsson, is Swedish, from Ystad."
This little excerpt is from a popular TV Programme Skavlan ( in which Frans appears 22 mins 50 secs on followed by an interview ) He's studying natural science at his gymnasium and has spent a year I studying in England, in 2014 where he says that he picked up some new study techniques " I like school", he says.
Skavlan : " You have a very engaged and enthusiastic grandmother. She is your greatest fan!"
Frans: " Oh, my grandmother is so wonderful! The things she says are so magical… she s can be so funny and so true at the same time. For example, I phoned her ( just before the song contest)."Hello grandma " and she answered " Hello my darling Osifo – feel no pressure, but you have to win!"
Let's wish him best of luck in the finals!
