Bode,
I'm sure the semantics of 'go home' and 'come home' are different, with the latter sounding more prospective to the addressee.
As for getting a chance to speak, there's a local platform here for all of us. The focus on the centre will always be a source of frustration for citizens of failing states such as ours. At the local level, however, where brothers, sisters and nephews live, the very presence of informed and highly educated kith and kin is a source of hope (and 'a few kobos'!) for the community. A 'Brexit' scenario - lies, half-truth and bogus promises - presents itself to local people on a daily basis, with no one to unpack it and 'bang on' about development that counts.
We need deciphers like you, Bode, to combat the onslaught of rogue overstayers in our communities. We need our folks out there, who understand how these rogues operate and the fundamental theories of knowledge behind their deception. Then, the centre will begin to crumble for a better Nigeria. Then we all get our chance to speak in unison.
The call to 'come home' is more about the country in its local essence rather than the usual centre perspective. (I tend to see this bottom-up approach as a worthier endeavour in a totally messed up society like this one.)

Oga BubaGo home and Come home are the same calls, whether the country speaks or the UK speaks, but when will the person who is being called get a chance to speak!Bode--On Sat, Jun 25, 2016 at 4:50 PM, 'M Buba' via USA Africa Dialogue Series <usaafricadialogue@googlegroups.com> wrote:Fellow Nigerians,The people (of the UK) have spoken, indeed. This is what is very worrying over an issue as important as this: even in 10 people more had voted to "Brexit" rather than to "Bremain", we would still be talking about a Brexit move.
I would have thought that a SUPER-MAJORITY clause should have been given to this - that unless a difference like 10% - or even 15% - was achieved, the 43-year-old status quo should be maintained. Is that not what is done, when 2/3 majority or 4/5 majority is required rather than simple majority? Or that if the vote is within 5%, a five-year breathing period will be provided, and a re-vote taken, after which a simple majority would be allowed?
But that is spilled milk now....

the masses? are the majority the masses, and the losers the important people? the vote was 52% to 48%. i'd say it was largely split. it would be interesting to know that roughly the 16 million voters who lost were all the important people!

All the important persons pleaded for votes to remain in the European Union in the "UK Decides", yet the UK will leave because the most important persons, the masses want UK to leave.
