There are many more stories like this. The white man's massacre of Native Americans (the Oceti people/nation) at Wounded Knee, for example (also see "We Charge Genocide" spearheaded by William Patterson). Many of these horrific acts are yet to be uncovered. Many are lost forever.
The ongoing genocidal acts of white Americans against African Americans and Native Americans are mostly unmarked or normalized and the method is more institutional than brute violence.
