Thanks Tunde. I never said that I invented the idea of ranching and I am sure that many others added their advocacy to the policy change. You are right also that there may be breeds of cattle in Africa that would be better able to adapt to the Nigerian climate but in the globalized village of today, we cannot be limited by geography in our search for knowledge. If the Federal Government wants to train soldiers, who are usually idle, and enable them to contribute to food production, I will not oppose the plan. What I suggested is that the plan should not be for soldiers alone but also for the millions of unemployed youth. It is not a task for the Feds alone, state governors and local government authorities can chip in at smaller scales to help make the youths more productive and reduce violent clashes between our cattle herders and our peasant farmers. Director of ranching will not be a suitable job for me, those of our people with degrees in agriculture will do better in that position. As for me, I am happily employed already and I am happy offering free consultancy services to those who have ears to hear.

Bewaji,
The mindset you displayed here is very surprising. So, because you do not look at blogs perhaps, you think that nobody does? The most surprising part is that this mindset is being displayed in 2016.
