A quick reminder before the weekend....The final installment of our Fall 2016 Brown Bag Series will take place on Monday at 1:30pm
Monday, December 12th1:30pm-3:00pm207 Knox HallThe Institute of African Studies presents the African Studies Brown Bag Series, a new lunchtime series of discussion on contemporary issues of African thought. The series welcomes all for presentations by scholars of African studies followed by open discussion and discourse among all attendees. Lunch will be provided.Our fourth session welcomes Dr. Laurent Fourchard, Director of Research at Sciences Po Bordeaux as well as a researcher with the Centre de Recherches Internationales (Center for International Research) and the Fondation National de Sciences Politiques (National Foundation for Political Science). He will speak on recent fieldwork in Lagos and Jos examining the sociopolitical effects of Nigeria's unique system of certificates of origin.
