In this era of "Animal Rights" and with no end in sight to the ongoing slaughter of man and beast in Nigeria one is forced to ask the Fulani Herdsmen and those that Toyin Adepoju accuses of being their "enablers" sitting in high places in government, this honest question :
Are cows more important than the lives of human beings?
We expect to hear from the Fulani herdsmen and their spokesmen, this single protest:
"But cows are our livelihood!"
"Spokesmen", not "spokeswomen". As Dr. Trump , America's new Dr. Johnson would say, a bunch of hussies to be grabbed by their "pussies". No sirs - and I apologies that there are ladies present, but we have not heard or read such a word as of yet, not even with local permission from Sheikh Kperogi our resident language buff , making it linguistically legal and therefore possible to blaspheme in Her Majesty's English language with such a word ; and since we have not yet heard of any "Fulani herdswomen", we are to believe that "as of yet" it's still a man's thing – just as it was in the days of the fabled cowboys' Wild West of gun talk, gun law & gun fight justice, so too in today's Nigeria it's a dangerous thing for the Fulani cowboys – an endangered or soon to be endangered species, especially if those who whose farmlands they intend to invade in the near future to decimate their crops , the Fulani herdsmen would be an endangered species if those farmers are armed with their UZI ( rhymes with pussy) even if there's grass growing anywhere in any nearby churches as they say, " our cows will graze" , while Muhammadu Buhari the Fulani chief of chiefs looks the other way...
Indeed the 2nd chapter of the Holy Quran and by far the longest is single chapter is Surah Al Baqarah : The Cow
In the case of Hindu India, where the cow is holy , the very cow ( "Mother cow") is protected from any sort of communal violence in the name of ahimsa and of course , India being a pluralistic and multi-religious society ( population-wise, there are more Muslims in India than in Pakistan) so in spite of Hindu sensitivities the meat-eating Muslims ritually slaughter cattle according to Halal Slaughter, at which point the meat is sanctified for their consumption – just as the Jews of India - those who have chosen to remain there, it is Shechita –which is their method of ritual slaughter ( although before Noah and the flood it was the Almighty's will that we should all be vegetarians. According to the Rabbis, after the flood the Almighty made that concession to what in Islam is known as mankind's NAFS - in this case the nafs ( lusts and cravings) of the stomach
There's the common-sense vegetarian reservations (objections) to industrial cattle rearing: Meat is murder
