Africology 2.0: The Womanist Formation
We are looking for an editor for an anthology (book in print) titled Africology 2.0: The Womanist Formation that will examine international womanist scholarship and theory from its genesis via Alice Walker's African-American feminism paradigm, through Chikwenye Okonjo Ogunyemi's African womanism and Clenora Hudson-Weems' Africana womanism, to its present-day expression as a global, anti-oppressionist perspective rooted in the praxis of everyday women in an African centered and trans-disciplinary context. Constructively, the anthology will also look into the 'Womanist Idea' presented by Lavli Maparyan to discuss the womanist worldview (cosmology, ontology, epistemology, logic, axiology, and methodology), and trace the rich and diverse history of womanist thought.
