We are fast losing a great number of our best brains and it is worrisome.

A prolific and multi-talented scholar, he had an impactful career, producing books and essays, and training such notable and distinguished scholars as the pre-eminent Afro-Brazilianist, Professor Niyi Afolabi of the University of Texas at Austin, and the dynamic and versatile Professor Felix Ayoh Omidire, cerebral scholar of Afro-Latin American Studies, Obafemi Awolowo University.

Africa has reduced by one, a notable one, as a one in physical counting, but as a multitude in terms of significance.
