Unfortunately, as sound as your logic is, it is not what we think will happen. I am on a committee on this at the highest level.
New platforms do not always move your stuff. There are those with the technological power to wipe the entire accumulation of a country.
And many materials are also not accessible. For instance, I am not on Facebook, and I cannot access info. on any account I wish.
This is a huge subject that we are now looking at various levels, including the Library of Congress, to warn people that the Internet creates a misleading impression that your materials are there for as long as you wish. Not so.
