'MOKALIK' a KUNLE AFOLAYAN movie Private Press Screening    It is our pleasure at Golden Effects Pictures to share with you the milestone our most recent movie 'MOKALIK' has gotten despite the movie is yet to be released. We've had several positive feedbacks from the Private screening at Twin Waters, Victoria Island Lagos on Tuesday, March 19, 2019. The Private Press Screening of the Movie which was in partnership with Canon had in attendance, acclaimed film veteran, Tunde Kelani and other Prominent Film practitioners like, Pat Nebo, Mahmood Alli-Balogun, Kunle Nodash and Tunde Babalola. Also present at the event was Lagos state Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Steve Ayorinde.   Award winning star singer, Simi Ogunleye and ex-Big Brother Naija housemate, Tobi Bakre were also present for the private screening amongst other cast in the movie, like Ayo Adesanya, Damilola Ogunsi and Tooni Afolayan.         'Mokalik' follows the career of an 11-year-old boy, Ponmile, from the middle-class suburbs who spends the day as a lowly apprentice at a mechanic workshop in order to view life from the other side of the tracks… When his father arrives to take him home; Ponmile has to make up his mind if he wants to return to school or take on his apprenticeship full time.   MOKALIK movie featured prominent actors like Femi Adebayo, Charles Okocha, Faithia Williams, Lateef Oladimeji, Wale Akorede (Okunu), Ayo Ogunshina (Papa Lolo), Dayo Akinpelu (Alabi Yellow), Jumoke George and Introduced Tooni Afolayan, and Tobi Bakre.     "MOKALIK is an ambitious film project that tells a story which is unique and relevant to our society. It beautifully highlights diversity while distinctively addressing the issues around choice..."
