This article is a striking editorial on racism in the Academy and Science from the editors of the science journal Nature in response to the Black Lives Matter movement.The editors
pledge to do better to challenge
systemic racism. Discrimination against Black scholars in funding, hiring, sponsorship , journal content, journal citations, inappropriate language - are among the manifestations of discrimination cited.
This is a good sign of progress. Implementations should hopefully follow.
