We hope this message finds you well and balancing in this continued anti-Black, anti-humane world. In part based on our commitment to fostering critical Black voices as resistance to the systemic silencing of communities of color, Rachelle Rogers-Ard and I have completed our book project on the cumulative impacts of educational racism on Black educators. We are thus celebrating the release of Black Educational Leadership: From Silencing to Authenticity on October 29, 2020 at 3 pm (PST). More details, as well as ordering information, is attached to this email.
We have dedicated this book to the many, many children who grow up without being able to learn from powerful, authentic Black school leaders and to the many, many Black educators who feel they cannot be who they are and keep their jobs.
