The report contains the combined inputs of more than 100 young African #scholars and members of civil society organisations on what they believe should be prioritised in order to achieve sustainable #development and #peace on the continent in the next 25 years.
It was an honour working on this project with Reon Van der Merwe (University of Cape Town) and Sivuyisiwe N. N. (Siwe) Kuse (Centre for Analytics and Behavioural Change, UCT), as well as other members of the IAPSS Africa & MENA SRC as part of our efforts to promote Afro-centric views and opinions in global political discourse.
This dialogue initiative and report were also inspired by the work that the African Union Youth Envoy, Ms Aya Chebbi and her team are doing to raise the voices of African youth.
We would like to thank all the participants, civil society organisations and youth leaders for making this contribution to the global UN dialogue a reality!
