Dear Friends,
*PLEASE SIGN & SHARE MY PETITION FOR THE NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT TO DECLARE THE FLOODS A NATIONAL EMERGENCY & TO AIRLIFT RELIEF SUPPLIES TO AFFECTED COMMUNITIES*
Pls sign here:

Nigeria is experiencing its worst floods in over a decade with:
❗33 of our 36 states affected
❗603 people dead and many still missing
❗1.3m people displaced
❗Over 90,000 houses submerged
Many communities are cut off from getting supplies by road. Attempts to move around by boat can be dangerous as well. 76 people lost their lives in Anambra last week after their boat capsized in the flood waters as they tried to get to safety.
Organisations like the JDPC Awka in Anambra reports that they cannot reach women and children even as it risky to travel by boat and they have to wait till the flood waters subside in November before they can get relief supplies to them.
The disaster relief agency, Sesor, says it has received reports that some displaced persons in Delta State have been forced to leave a camp they sought shelter in and go back to their flooded areas after the relief materials delivered by the Nigerian government and other agencies were hijacked by criminals.
The Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs & Disaster Management warned earlier this week that more floods were imminent in Anambra, Bayelsa, Cross River, Delta & Rivers.
*The Nigerian government must ACT fast and declare a national flood emergency and AIRLIFT supplies to affected communities across the worst affected states and communities in Anambra, Bayelsa, Cross River, Delta, Kogi, Rivers and many others! SOS!*
Thank you for your support.
Warm regards,
*Ier Jonathan-Ichaver*
Candidate for House of Representatives, Kwande/Ushongo Federal Constituency,
