"The man of action has the present," says Oliver Wendel Holmes, the American polymath, "but the thinker controls the future."

Sadly some nations may have destroyed their future yesterday but they find it had to believe. Like a mad man they may be looking for the future in a trash cash; proverbially looking for gold in a gutter. But which future has the imagination afforded the modern African all these while and why?
