The PR Men and women are currently mobilizing for a particular Nigeriian
They are throwing everything into the mix, damage, control, reputation management, perception, management, crisis management these i could observe but Nigeria should come first as a professional you do not necessarily take
up every brief that comes you way. you need to be discriminating
Secondly, I saw Olu Akanmu the President and co- CEO of the BILLION DOLLAR plus OPay on CNN connoting Africa without a knotted tie and sitting not behind an executive desk.opay is into FI so maybe he is out to project THRIFTYNESS/.or maybe he needs a wardrobe consultant, they are there at Opebi in ikeja
Olu Akanmu had collar open hiss neck for all to see so i wonder whether he was out to make statement with his open Collar about his own style of doing business at opay or it was just a wardrobe mis adventure. i also wonder why he was not seating behind a desk in talking to CNN. Again maybe its a matter of his own style . i notice his talk on cnn only has at this moment 227 views! this might be of interest to his corporate affairs department a similar thing happened when he was director of first city monument bank giving a zoom presentation on the triple helix of university government and industry, he perhaps did not involve the corporate affairs department of first city monument bank tys like he had almost nil publicity amongst the organized private sector
Olu Akam,u forte revolves round . Leadership, management, strategy, marketing, policy it might not necessarily include public relations which tends to be relegated by a lot of CEOs until perhaps they find themselves in a storm or within a crisis.
thirdly, there was the case where a CEO in Nigeria performed a public relations stunt which could have led to legal trouble so public relations needs to consult legal department manytimes or all the time mention has been made about the uneasy alliance between lawyers and public relations practitioners. lawyers should also note the public relations implication of some legal cases. so, lawyers and PR practioners should be or could be in a symbiotic relationship.
