this week precisely April12 2023 we mark the flight of the first man in outerspace Cosmonaiut Yuri Gagarin then in 1961 and the flight of the first Space shutle,COLUMBIA then inon April 12 1981 .astronaut John Young who walked on the moon in 1972 commanded the Mission.
on the Nigerian front we have our own Wole soyinka who affirms that he belongs to the community of astronauts but is being attacked left right and centre following his comments on the nigerian elections and related matters.
. is there any one out there to assure him like Sergei korolov assured Gagarin on april 11 1961 and then the Tuargs in the desert follwed by Singing! GaaaGarin Gaagarrri Gaaaa gaa rin.Gagarin had become a citizen of the world!

wole soynka seems to think positively about babatunde raji fashola in respect of fasholas comment that elections are like festivals he calls it THE BABATUNDE DICTUM,hm! it seems to suggest deep thinking .when it is different it is fresh.
it so happens that Wole soyinka also bears the name Babatunde same with ooni of Ife,HRH Enitan Babatunde Ogunwusi,
babatunde means the return of Father. or father is here again.
its a good name for an astronaut because astrronaut take off and return.
Wole soyinka had at one time revealed that he follows the NASA launchings ,the day of the soyinka interview on channels television, April 3 2023, NASA Johnson Space centre, announced the full crew of artemis ,towards landing on planet mars with the hastag #giantleapstarthere .wole soyinka had confessed to belonging to the community of astronauts on a certain world poetry day.2021 soyinka, TAIWO lycet ajayi and BIMBO MANUEL APPPEARED IN SPACE JUMPSUIT JUST LIKE ASTRONAUTS/AND SOYINKA rendered a poem,. 2009 a space odyssey,get ready we are going to space.
soyinka warns the world if we destroy the plamet earth the only place left is space. soyinka is echoing some how the words of the noted Jazz artiste SUN RA in his compositions titled ITS AFTER THE END OF THE WORLD and NEXT STOP PLANET MARS.
still on astronauts taiwo lycett ajayi was told by her uncle that she is the return of an ancestor artiste .and babatude a name given to soyinka means the return of father and what"s more the name mannuel perhaps short for of emmanuel also suggests a return in christian tradition, the second coming
. Planet mars in greek mytholgy is similar to ogun in the pantheon of gods of yoruba and .mars is the planet of war and Agriculture so also is ogun nnd more,
you would recolllect that soyinka is the worlds most prominent person espousing the myth of ogun also the god of creativity
