Eight Nigerian Print Making Masters Event at Fobally Gallery, Followed by Sightseeing and Discussions at Iwalewa Gallery
-- Pictures and Videos by Oluwatoyin Vincent Adepoju from a delightful day at Fobally Art Gallery and Iwalewa Gallery, both in Lagos on the 10th of April 2025.
The experience began from a press release and discussion at Fobally, organized by the gallery, on the forthcoming exhibition on eight masters of print making in Nigerian art curated by Afuevo Onakufe.
Folashade Abiola, the Fobally gallerist, and Larry Segun-Lean, the chairman of Fobally and Afuevo Onakufe curated an indelible experience.
The album also shows some participants at the event when we moved to Iwalewa Gallery after Fobally.
We had a wonderful time at Iwalewa, courtesy of Femi Williams, the owner of Iwalewa.
The Fobally encounter and the Iwalewa experience complement each other for me.
I was better able to appreciate the Lagos art ecosystem represented by the various people I met at both galleries.
