Pleased to see that my article ‘Decolonization as Praxis: Yusuf Bala Usman on History, the Nation, and the Remaking of the Nigerian Constitution’ has finally been published in vol. 46, issue 2 of Comparative Studies of South Asia, Africa and the Middle East. The paper situates Yusuf Bala Usman’s writings as a contribution to scholarship on decolonization. I argue that by linking the need to interrogate received concepts and ideologies to the desire for political and economic change in the real world, Usman illustrates how to think decolonization as praxis.
