The Israeli military invaded over 100 homes and buildings in Qabatiyah yesterday.    They did it as part of their escalating terror campaign in the occupied West Bank. Israeli settlers AND the war criminals in the IDF have murdered 76 Palestinians there — including 18 kids — so far this year alone.    And now, the Israeli military is branding the Palestinians they kidnap with numbers scrawled in marker on their foreheads, hands, and arms.

It is a hallmark of dehumanization, of ethnic cleansing, of genocide.   It is a concerted effort by Israel to strip Palestinians of their names, of their identities, of their families, of their stories, of all that makes them human.    It is a concerted effort by Israel to reduce people to mere numbers to be surveilled, kidnapped, imprisoned, tortured, and disappeared.   It is a concerted effort by Israel to escalate its never-ending campaign to banish all Palestinians from Palestine.

 

It is a campaign that is horrifyingly familiar to anyone who has learned from history’s darkest days and who now stands firmly rooted against genocide, ethnic cleansing, and mass murder.   We refuse to watch Israel dehumanize, terrorize, ethnically cleanse, and commit endless atrocities against Palestinians in silence.   All of this is only made possible by the endless weapons, funds, and diplomatic immunity that the U.S. Congress continues to send Israel.    Congress keeps celebrating these horrors because 70% of our lawmakers are still cashing AIPAC’s blood-soaked checks.    That’s why we’re taking the fight to them.
