Professor David Frankfurter to join the Panel Discussion on Witchcraft in Africa, August  30, 2026

David Frankfurter is Professor of Religion and Aurelio Professor of the Appreciation of Scripture at Boston University.   He is the author of numerous books and articles on the Christianization of Egypt, popular religion and magic, apocalypticism, and violence and the representation of evil, including Evil Incarnate: Rumors of Demonic Conspiracy and Satanic Abuse in History (Princeton, 2006), which won the 2007 Award for Excellence in the Study of Religion from the American Academy of Religion.

Please join us for a panel discussion with our distinguished panelists, Professor Godwin Sogolo, Rev. Dr Grace Sintim Adasi, Professor David Frankfurter, Dr Claire P. Ayelotan, and Prof. John Azumah, who will be sharing their expertise on "Witchcraft in Africa."
