The Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz Alsaud Center for American
Studies and Research (CASAR) held a lecture entitled: "Imperial
Remains: Langston Hughes and the Spanish Trace in the Black American
Imaginary" by Robert Reid-Pharr.
Dr. Robert F. Reid-Pharr is Professor of English and American Studies
at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. The author
of many works on race, gender, and sexuality in American culture, Reid-
Pharr's latest book is Once You Go Black: Choice, Desire, and the
Black American Intellectual (New York University Press, 2007). He
lives in Brooklyn.
