Indeed, Brother Peter, you hit the nail right on the proverbial head. What is more incredible is what has happened to the Afrikan male who used to be ready to give up his life to protect the honor of his sister, mother and aunt that has now become the defender of the rich and powerful Westerner who violates them. There was a time when you could not even say to the Afrikan male "your mother," "your sister," or "your aunt," without him being ready to go to battle for her honor.
Many of us are ready to accept the Westerner's version of a story and praise him and his system for "dealing with our people accordingly." What a pity! It was the great Pan-Afrikanist Ngugi wa Thiong'o who said it best: "It is the final triumph of a system of domination when the dominated start singing its virtues."

Frenchwoman accuses Strauss-Kahn of attempted rape

PARIS (AP) — The lawyer for a French novelist says she will file a lawsuit accusing former International Monetary Fund chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn of attempted rape.Lawyer David Koubbi told The Associated Press that Tristane Banon will file the suit Tuesday in Paris.
Banon has described an encounter several years ago in which Strauss-Kahn allegedly assaulted her.
Strauss-Kahn was arrested in New York in May on charges that he tried to rape a hotel maid. Strauss-Kahn, who denied wrongdoing, was released without bail last week after questions emerged about the maid's credibility.
Koubbi had said in the past that they would not file a lawsuit until the American trial was finished. He said Monday that they had decided to move forward now instead of waiting.
