Correction: IMF Leader-Assault

July 01, 2011 7:45 PM EDT NEW YORK (AP) — In a June 30 story about the assault case involving Dominique Strass-Kahn, The Associated Press erroneously reported that prosecutors were seeking a reduction in his pricey bail. In fact, prosecutors alerted Strauss-Kahn's defense lawyers that questions had arisen about the credibility of a hotel housekeeper who has accused the former International Monetary Fund leader of rape and the defense sought a reduction in bail, with prosecutors' assent.
