Museveni's call is right on the proverbial money! Now watch the westerners who once love him turn against him. I pray that we Afrikans on the Motherland and in the Diaspora are united in heeding his call and defend him and others who fight for our unity. The Union of Afrikan States will become a reality in 2017, if not before. So it is written, and so it shall be done.

Unify now or perish, Museveni warns Africa Sunday Nation, Nairobi, 18 Feb. 2012 -- President Museveni has called on African countries to integrate if they are to counter political and economic onslaught from other continents. "How can [tiny] African countries compete with big nations like China when you remain fragmented?" Museveni wondered. Museveni [stated] that economic integration alone [would not be] enough for Africa] if there was no political [unification]. "Countries like Greece had great inventions initially but now it is one of the poorest nations because of lack of political organisation," he said. (President Museveni was inaugurating the Great Lakes Universities Fund in Kisumu on Saturday with Prime Minister Odinga. While both are understood to be committed to the establishment a unified Africa in 2017, Uganda and Kenya are more keen on pushing the formation of the East African Federation, for which they have agreed with Tanzania and others to start drafting a constitution later this year.
